More Beats, Less Blues

❄️ Nights are long. Temperatures are dropping. Like a boiler that only breaks when you need it most, my winter gloves are usually falling into disrepair about this time of year.

📣 It’s tough motivating yourself to get out on the bike in January.

💪 But don’t worry because I’ve come up with yet another super-motivational playlist to strike your pedals to and beat out those winter blues!

🏆 It’s 40 minutes long, so perfect for that little detour you’re tempted to take on your way home from work, or the local loop to shake you out of your 5pm WFH slump.

🎼 Simply copy the tracks into your favourite music streaming service and be transported to acoustic ecstasy on a mobile device of your choice.

❕ Don’t forget to use headphones safely when out on the roads: keep the volume low enough to hear vehicles around you, check blind spots often and consider using bone conduction earphones.

🙏 You’re soooooooo welcome!

Addendum 10 February 2022: the embedded Spotify playlist was removed and replaced with a written list of tracks: I decided to take a break from Spotify after it continued to support The Joe Rogan Experience, a podcast supported by Spotify which features an episode spreading Covid disinformation. According to Reuters, as of yesterday Joe Rogan has removed some of his content from the streaming platform (Spotify did not ask him to do this) so I’ll be weighing up the ramifications of this and where my loyalties lie before deciding whether to rejoin.

I thought this would be a tough sacrifice until I rediscovered some favourite shows on BBC Sounds and heard this Essential Mix from Detroit-based DJ/producer DJ Minx and let me tell you… it’s a banger!
